Ardo en soledad
canto que dar
la falta de saber en dónde estas.
Me cuesta esconder
tu parte de mi piel
frente al mar
tomo tu lugar
frente al mar
tomo tu lugar.
Contra corrientes
mareas y sal
no sabrás lo mucho que dolerá
dolerá
La farsa de volver
es el codepender
frente al mar
tomo tu lugar
frente al mar
tomo tu lugar.
Uuu uuu uuuu uuuu.

Monsters - Hurricane Bells (Official MV)
Monday, February 15, 2010
hurricanebells1
Released recently is the music video for Hurricane Bells' "Monsters," a song which was featured on the official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Unlike some of the other New Moon contributors' videos, there is no tie-in to the film (i.e., clips of the movie), but it is interesting to see the director's vision for the song as compared with the song's placement in the film.
Steve Schiltz, frontman for the band, had this to say about being on the New Moon soundtrack. "The track was a little too heavy and I left it off the record, it was like a bonus track. Back in July, I gave it to my publishers and when they told me it has been taken for the movie I was like wow and then it changed everything."
He noted that the biggest change, so far, has been his financial capacity to make more music. "It just happened and this was the biggest thing but it just got me the money to make more music and didn't make a major impact on my music. All it really means is I am getting enough time and money to make another record."

OK Go are Team Edward
Saturday, January 16, 2010
"I have to admit, I still haven’t seen Twilight, but I did enjoy New Moon. It was an entertaining watch for sure, and I can see why it appeals to kids of all ages. I think if I were to pick, I’m probably Team Edward, if I had to really choose. I find Jacob to be a little bit whiny (and I’m not speaking of Taylor Lautner as a person, I’m just talking about his character). There’s just something about Jacob’s neediness that I just find somewhat annoying. Edward sort of seems to have his shit together a little more, or at least he plays it much cooler than Jacob. I sort of respect him for that. Plus, I think vampires are a little bit cooler than werewolves."Source via New Moon the Soundtrack
Here's a favorite OK Go Music Video of mine. Enjoy.

New Moon OST, Top Ten Movie Soundtracks of 2009
Drake Lelane. Film.com
New Moon makes this list almost purely because of the inclusion of new material from the likes of Grizzly Bear ("Slow Life"), Thom Yorke ("Hearing Damage"), and pairing Bon Iver with St. Vincent ("Roslyn"). Whether it's the best music for Taylor Lautner to remove his shirt to is probably up for debate.

Lesson 4: Decode by Paramore
Thursday, December 10, 2009
Remember the lesson on eighth notes and Leyenda? This is just the same. Use p on bass notes (in this case it's all "la") and alternate i and m on the treble notes.
Note: Intro is transposed an octave lower. Jana can only sight read first position notes on the guitar.
Right Hand Symbols: p - thumb, i - index, m - middle
These are the Chords:
Left Hand Symbols: 1 - index, 2 - middle, 3 - ring finger
Make four strums of each chord above. They go with these lyrics:
FM7 Am/D
How can I decide what's right?
Am
When you're clouding up my mind
Em
Can't win your losing fight all the time
FM7 Am/D
Not gonna ever own what's mine
Am
When you're always taking sides
Em
You wont take away my pride
FM7 Am/D
No not this time
Am Em
Not this time
Same thing with the Chorus:
FM7
How did we get here?
Am/D Am Em
I use to know you so well
FM7
How did we get here?
Am/D Am Em *Am G Em
Well, I think I know
*Do four strums of Am, 3 strums G and 1 Em. You still remember how to do a G, right? =)
Same chords FM7-Am/D-Am and Em (4 strums each) for the next verse and chorus (except the highlighted blue bit after the chorus):
The truth is hiding in your eyes
And its hanging on your tongue
Just boiling in my blood,
But you think that I can't see
What kind of man that you are
If you're a man at all
Well, I will figure this one out on my own
(I'm screaming "I love you so..." But my thoughts you can't decode)
How did we get here?
I use to know you so well
How did we get here?
Well, I think I know
Chords above are for these part:
FM7 Dm
Do you see what we've done?
Am Em
We're gonna make such fools of ourselves
FM7 Dm
Do you see what we've done?
Am Em
We're gonna make such fools of ourselves
Then back to basic chords:
FM7-Am/D
Am Em
Yeah
FM7 Am/D
How did we get here?
Am Em
I use to know you so well
FM7 Am/D
How did we get here?
Am Em
Well, I use to know you so well
Lastly, do this chord pattern on the last part of the song:
FM7 G Am/D Am FM7 Am7 Em
I think I know
FM7 G Am/D Am FM7 Am7 Em
I think I know
FM7 G Am/D Am FM7 Am7 Em
There is something that I see in you
FM7 G Am/D Am FM7 Am7 Em
It might kill me I want it to be true
And end with an Am/D =)

New Moon tracks make it to Top Ten Indie Rock Songs of 2009
Aolradioblog. Rae Votta
While indie rock used to mean a band was too small and underground to garner a mainstream following, in recent years the genre has moved more and more into the spotlight, making this year's top indie rock songs recognizable to many listeners. This is especially evident as many indie darlings were featured on the major motion picture and Twilight sequel 'New Moon.' From Tegan and Sara toDeath Cab for Cutie and beyond, read on to discover the Top Indie Rock Songs of 2009, as determined by AOL Radio listeners.
1) Phoenix: '1901'
2) Sea Wolf: 'The Violet Hour'
Sea Wolf is the project of Los Angeles musician Alex Brown Church, and composed of a rotating cast of musicians. The band was asked to include the song 'The Violet Hour' in 'New Moon,' appearing in the film during Bella's birthday scene.
3) Death Cab for Cutie: 'Meet Me on the Equinox'
The song was released as the first single on the soundtrack for 'New Moon.' Singer Ben Gibbard told MTV that "The song at its core is just about meeting another halfway, because life is very short, because there's only a brief period of time to really connect with people, and that it's important to recognize that."
4) Matt & Kim: 'Daylight'
5) The xx: 'Islands'
6) Fink: 'Sort of Revolution'
7) Lykke Li: 'Possibility'
Lykke Li released her first album, 'Youth Novels' in 2008 and continued touring in 2009 to much critical acclaim. When asked to contribute to the New Moon soundtrack in 2009, she was unsure of what to write about until she watched a screener of the movie. Her song 'Possibility' -- with haunting soft piano melody and humming -- plays during a time-passage sequence when heroine Bella thinks about her relationship with Edward.
8) Grizzly Bear: 'Two Weeks'
9) Anya Marina: 'Satellite Heart'
Named one of the "Best Unsigned" acts by San Diego City Beat back in '05, Marina soon after picked up recognition, her songs being featured on 'Grey's Anatomy' and most recently 'Gossip Girl.' 'Satellite,' written especially for the soundtrack, is in the scene where Edward is driving Bella home.
10.) Tegan and Sara: 'Hell'For sound samples and the rest of the article go here.

Solar Midnite - Lupe Fiasco Official MV link
I haven't been posting as much these past few days. It's December. It's Christmas. The busiest month for a musician. In fact, I just got back from an out of town gig. And the hotel that I stayed in doesn't have wifi. There are still a lot that I want to share. I will find the time. Right now, I have to sleep. Good night, guitarists! *yawn* .

Video is a half step higher than the original. I think people in youtube are having copyright issues with New Moon so they kinda tweak with the track a bit. Some uploaded NM tracks way down lower than the original.

This is Claude Debussy's Claire de Lune played by my favorite master guitarists John Williams and Julian Bream. I really love how they played this and everytime I hear this, I can't help thinking my Claire de Lune sucks big time! Hahahaha. But thank you everyone for patronizing. =)
